On the way back to camp Pebblefeather spotted a mouse and killed it swiftly on the neck. she carried it in her jaws and headed back to camp. A bird screeched a few mouse-tails away from her, and she also killed it, although she twisted her hind leg.
She limped back to camp with the blackbird and the mouse.
